Sometimes unplanned discoveries are more pleasant than planned and one such discovery was a beautiful heritage resort in Rajkot known as Khirasara Heritage.
We were on a road trip and looking for a one night stay in Rajkot enroute our return journey.....and while looking for some unique place for the night, we found this beautiful property.
We love staying at heritage properties.....at the first glance selected this and surprisingly got it at a very good deal on
Agoda.
This is a heritage palace which has been converted into a luxury hotel. And if you love the rich Indian history, this place is perfect for you. Warm hospitality, beautiful decor' and yummy food are USPs of the place.
We reached this place late in the evening as we were driving from Madhavpur and visited Dwaraka on the way ( details about my road trip coming soon ;).... Cool breeze , traditional Indian style welcome , smooth check-in and this amazingly beautiful property stole our hearts. After settling in, we decided to try their restaurant ( they have 2-3 options). This place seems to be quite popular among locals..and I know why - because of it's royal treatment and delicious food. What I love most about this place was their amazing " Rabadi-Jalebi"( Indian Sweets).
After a sumptuous meal, our cosy hotel room was calling us to take a good night sleep zzzzzzzzzz....

Only one thing, if you are planning to visit Rajkot then this place is situated around18 k.m. from the main city. So not ideal for site seeing of the city but if you want to enjoy luxury this is the place for you..I strongly recommend this place.
Ideal Duration for Stay : 2 Days. Better to have your own vehicle to reach this place.
